Open Garden Day at Glen Villa

Open Garden Day at Glen Villa

Time: 10am-4pm
Location: 1020, chemin de North Hatley,
Sainte Catherine de Hatley, Quebec

Admission: $25

For the second year in a row, Glen Villa will open to the public for an Open Garden Day on Saturday, July 29th, in support of the Massawippi Foundation.

Glen Villa is a historic 750-acre private property located on Lake Massawippi. Owner Pat Webster, an acclaimed garden designer and artist, has created a garden that highlights the relationship between nature, horticulture and art. Woven through the property’s fields, woodlands and landscaped gardens are a series of outdoor “rooms” with flowers, sculptures and unusual art installations that represent those who lived on the property and those who live there now, from the Abenaki Indians to the tourists who stayed at the impressive Glen Villa Inn, to the Webster family.

Alternately humorous and thought-provoking, the garden offers a rich tapestry of experiences.

Visitors will have a chance to visit the various gardens and art installations on site. Maps will be provided and volunteers will be available to direct visitors and answer questions. 100% of proceeds from the Open Garden Day will go towards the foundation’s community initiatives, public trails and land conservation projects.

Since space is limited, advance reservations for a morning or afternoon visit are recommended.  Payment is at the door. For more information, go to

Online registrations are now closed but you can still register at the event on Saturday.
